Alex Kenny - Senior Public Involvement in Research Officer
I am a Senior Public Involvement in Research Officer at McPin. I work on a portfolio of Patient and Public Involvement and Research projects, mainly in Digital Mental Health for Psychosis. I coordinate advisory groups of people with relevant lived experience, providing a bridge between researchers and lived experience experts, to shape and design research and ensure it has real world impact.
Outside of work I enjoy hiking, yoga and reading.

I am a Visiting Research Fellow at Kings College London as part of the UKRI Economic and Social Research Council – King’s MedTech Accelerator
I attended the IEPA 2025 Breaking Boundaries Conference in Berlin and presented as part of a McPin symposium on lived experience involvement in early intervention in psychosis research.
I have 21 peer reviewed academic research papers published. I also peer reviewed 20 academic papers for the Lancet Psychiatry journal.
