Connect at Xmas

xmas3Making connections for your wellbeing this Christmas

At the McPin foundation, we conduct high quality research on mental health. We particularly value the contribution to research from people directly affected by mental health issues. A common theme in our findings is the importance of social relationships and connections to wellbeing.

Christmas is a time when these connections can come to the fore, both in positive and negative ways. And for this reason, during this season, we’ve decided to share some key insights, stories and practical tips.

Our work focuses on what could be helpful for people who have had to live with difficulties that affect their mental health. But these messages can be useful for everyone, so please share our stories via social media this festive season to help remind others of the importance of looking after your wellbeing during what can be a busy and stressful time of year.

Our 10 Christmas messages address the following messages and more information will be available soon:

  1. Small acts
  2. Reconnect
  3. Share
  4. Community
  5. Meaningful activities
  6. Reciprocity
  7. Presents
  8. Making time
  9. Space
  10. Take care
