Naheen Ali

Naheen has a decade of experience in the charity sector. She has worked on the frontline with different groups, including the homeless, those in criminal justice, refugees, children, young people in care, people with learning disabilities, as well as in community advocacy. She holds a BA in Social Sciences. Having her own lived experience of mental health issues, she has also been a Peer Support worker in a mental health ward, a researcher at East London NHS Foundation Trust, a researcher for King’s College/South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, and has created training with the Recovery College at Hertfordshire Partnership University Foundation Trust. She has worked for various mental health charities including as an Assessor for Think Ahead, for the National Strategic Group for Together, and has taken part in various workshops with McPin, before becoming a Trustee in 2021. She has also completed the Peer Leadership Development Programme with the NHS England Personalised Care Group.
