Our work

The McPin Foundation’s work is inspired by our vision of a mental health system in which research and services are shaped by people with relevant personal experience that relates to the research being carried out or the service being designed.

Our expert team works with clients, partners and other researchers to deliver high quality services which lead the way in putting the experience of people affected by mental health problems at the heart of the research process.  We provide:

Conducting robust, innovative health and social care research, with specialist skills in peer research

Helping organisations monitor and evaluate the impact they are having

Advising on and providing involvement strategies, including advisory groups and peer review panels and involving young people

Ensuring that the voices of people affected by mental health problems are integral to the research agenda

Providing umbrella services to individuals and organisations so they can deliver their agenda for mental health without having to set up a charity of their own
