Project overview
CareLoop is a digital real-time monitoring and relapse prevention platform to support people with complex mental health issues. Using the CareLoop app, users can complete questionnaires to record how are they feeling. The app will then notify their care team if the technology detects that the user is becoming unwell.
CareLoop is developed by CareLoop Health Ltd, a University of Manchester spin-out company.
Project details
Daily check-ins and evidence-based self-care tools can help people living with complex mental health issues understand their symptoms and take an active role in managing their wellbeing.
The hope is that, through using CareLoop, people can be identified and help given early before they become too unwell.
CareLoop was co-designed with people with lived experience of complex mental health issues, working alongside researchers, clinicians and software engineers.
In this project, McPin will form a Lived Experience Advisory Panel (LEAP) made up of eight people with lived experience of complex mental health issues.
The group will take part in four online workshops where they’ll assess the usability of CareLoop and discuss new product features, ensuring the platform continues to evolve to best meet the needs of people who use it.
There will also be some additional opportunities for the LEAP members to help shape CareLoop outside of the core workshops.
