What’s the project?
We are testing the effectiveness of a new type of therapy called MAC for young people are who experiencing low mood / depression. MAC stands for Mindfulness for Adolescents and Carers and is a form of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. We want to see if the therapy can be helpful in reducing symptoms of low mood / depression. The study is a collaboration between many different NHS trusts and institutions, including the University of Cambridge, SLaM and the University of Exeter.
