Developing a Chatbot for Social Prescribing: A Participatory Design Study for Young People Mental Health

Young people

What’s the project?

The study explores how AI chatbots could support social prescribing for young people experiencing mental health challenges. Social prescribing connects people to community activities (such as sports groups, arts programmes, volunteering etc.) to improve wellbeing.

Researchers are running participatory workshops with young people to test a prototype AI chatbot designed to help with daily reflection during social prescribing. Your feedback will help shape the next version of the chatbot.
