What’s the project?
The CONNECT study is researching how to predict and prevent relapse of psychosis using a digital monitoring platform, which includes a smartphone app and a wearable device. An ‘artificial intelligence’ approach is used to see if using the digital technology can identify signs that someone may be becoming unwell. The hope is that in the future people can be identified and help given before they become too unwell.
The CONNECT study is being led by the University of Manchester. Seven university and/or NHS Trusts around the UK are supporting this study. These include Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Sussex, London, Cardiff and Avon and Wiltshire. McPin are Patient and Public Involvement lead on the CONNECT study.
The study is already in motion, running since June 2022. We are looking for people to represent our site locations, see list under ‘person specification’ for eligible locations.
