Project overview
This evaluation is designed to explore what is working well and what could work better, for whom, and how, with the psychology services provided within Crisis, which are aimed at ending homelessness better.
It is a mixed methods evaluation, consisting of surveys, focus group discussions and case study interviews with Crisis members (those using its services), psychologists and wider staff.
It runs until December 2024, with learnings and recommendations shared incrementally.
Project details
This evaluation is important because it will enable those designing and delivering Crisis psychology services to gain an understanding of the things they should continue to do – or do more of – and the things they need to change.
Through it we hope to yield useful insights not only for Crisis but for the wider homelessness sector.
McPin is leading on the evaluation, co-designing and co-delivering all evaluation activities.
We also convene and support an independent Lived Experience Advisory Panel, which informs and shapes the particulars of what we do, and we have a team of peer researchers who will co-deliver the qualitative elements of the evaluation.
